The Tamil Nadu government boycotted a CBSE meeting. The meeting, chaired by Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal, was supposed to happen at 11 a.m today morning with Education Secretaries coming in from all states. Times Now's Shabbir Ahmed reports that after receiving the notification, the Tamil Nadu government had written to the Union HRD Ministry saying this was a policy decision and hence should be discussed with the concerned state ministers first. Ever since the Central government introduced the new National Education Policy (NEP) last years, the Tamil Nadu government has raised several concerns, including voicing its discontentment with the three language policy.
