‘Nation Speaks in One Voice’: Resolution After All Party Meeting

After Union Minister Rajnath Singh chaired the all-party meeting on Saturday, 16 February, over the Pulwama attack that killed 40 CRPF jawans, the resolution echoed India’s solidarity against the terror attack.

“The entire nation speaks in one voice to express its determination to fight these challenges. Today, we stand united in solidarity with our security forces in fighting terrorism and in defending the unity and integrity of India,” the resolution after the meeting read.

The all-party meeting held to discuss India’s next course of action on the Pulwama attack was attended by leaders from the Congress, the NCP, the National Conference and the Left.

The resolution said terrorism is condemned in all forms, so is the support given to it from across the border. It was also highlighted that terrorism in India has been actively encouraged by the forces across the border.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had earlier said the forces behind the terror attack will be punished, warning Pakistan that it is "making a big mistake.”

A CRPF convoy of 78 vehicles, carrying 2,547 CRPF personnel was attacked at 2:03 pm at Awantipora in J&K’s Pulawama District. The attack was claimed by Paskitan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM).

MEA Rejects Pak’s Claims of No Links With the Attack

Pakistan earlier on Thursday said the terrorist attack in Kashmir's Pulwama district is "a matter of grave concern" even as it strongly rejected Indian media and government's allegations of the country's link to the strike “without” probe.

Following Pakistan Foreign Secretary's briefing rejecting the country’s involvement in the Pulwama attack, MEA spokesperson said that Pakistan cannot claim it is unaware of the presence of JeM.

“JeM has claimed responsibility for the attack. The organisation and its leadership are located in Pakistan. LeT and other terror groups have welcomed the news of the attack. These groups are also based in Pakistan. Pakistan cannot claim that it is unaware of their presence and their activities. They have not taken any action against these groups despite international demands, especially against groups and individuals proscribed by the UN and other countries. The links to Pakistan are clear and evident for all to see. Its own ministers have shared the same podium with UN proscribed terrorists.”
