Narendra Modi is following a commoner on Twitter for his creative initiative towards Swachh Bharat!

Akash tweeted a picture of his sister wedding card which had a logo of Swachh Bharat.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is following 1,698 people on Twitter and Akash Jain, a commoner is one among them. And what made the Prime Minister follow him on the social networking site is even more interesting. Akash who is an entrepreneur took to the microblogging site to tweet a picture of his sister wedding card. The twist in the story is that the invitation card had a logo of Swachh Bharat. In order to help Modi’s pet project ‘Swacch Bharat’ reach maximum people, the bride’s father ensured that the card had the logo in it.

Akash tweeted the picture saying, “My father and I have been highly inspired by the Swachh Bharat initiative by PM Modi. My father specifically wanted the Swachh Bharat’s message and logo to be there on the wedding invitation card of my sister’s marriage on April 29, 2017. Hence I got it done.” Taking everyone by surprise Modi retweeted the picture and guess what, he also started following him on Twitter! An ecstatic Akash took wrote on Twitter saying, “What a moment. Modi’s ambitious project ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’ was launched on October 2, 2014, and aims at making India a clean country. The project was hence launched on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi to fulfill Gandhiji’s teaching of cleanliness. According to Modi, making India clean would be the best tribute to Gandhi on his 150th birth anniversary in 2019.
