Narada case: Sitting Calcutta High Court judge writes to Acting Chief Justice and judges

In a significant development, Justice Arindam Sinha, a sitting judge on the Calcutta High Court, has written to Acting Chief Justice Rajesh Bindal and other High Court judges, objecting to the way the Central Bureau of Investigation's (CBI) transfer plea in the Narada case was listed before a Division Bench as a writ petition. On May 17, a Division Bench of the High Court heard the transfer petition under Section 407 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, based on an email submitted by the CBI to the Court and a mention by Additional Solicitor General YJ Dastoor.
