Nagaland gets its first art gallery enlivening tribal art and design

The rich art and crafts of Nagaland portrays the artistic skill and caliber of the local artisans of the state.In an endeavor to boost the handicrafts and handlooms of the state, and to encourage the creative work of the local artisans, Aakriti art gallery, a first of its kind in Nagaland, is showcasing a unique range of tribal handcrafted items, art decors etc. The gallery was inaugurated by Dimapur Municipal Council administrator H. Atokhe Aye in Dimapur.The unique fusion of tribal art and designs is the major attraction for the shopaholics once they enter the art gallery. The Gallery has products ranging from antique furniture, dhokra- warli paintings, terracotta vases, table lamps, hanging lights, kitchen utility products, wall clocks, miniature pots, wind chimes etc.
