Muzaffarnagar riots: A day after court accepted the request to withdraw cases against several leaders of the Bhartiya Janata Party, SDPI has now decided to challenge the case in the court. SDPI has claimed that Chief Minister Yogi government’s move to withdraw these cases on communal grounds is nothing but promoting lawlessness. The cases date back to the 2013 Muzaffarnagar riots where 60 people were killed and at least 5,000 people were rendered homeless. SDPI is mulling moving to the court. They have announced that they will challenge the cases against several Bhartiya Janata Party leaders.
