Muslims should voluntarily handover Ayodhya land to Hindus: VHP

Mumbai, March 31: The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Friday geared up its slogan of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.  The VHP members today in the financial capital of India stated that Muslim’s, on their own free will, should return the land of Lord Ram to Hindus, reported Indian Express.

The VHP clearly stated that the disputed land in Ayodhya was the birthplace of Lord Ram and it a holy places for the Hindus. Surendra Jain of VHP stated, Ayodhya, the site of Ram Janmabhoomi (where Lord Ram was born) is very important for the Hindus. “Like for Muslims Mecca and Madina is important, similarly Ayodhya is for Hindus,” said Jain. Also, he said that Muslims must themselves hand over the land to Hindus and the central government must keep its promise of clearing the land and handing it over to the Hindu community. Jain said the Hindus still have faith in that place temple though it was destroyed. Also, he told Ayodhya issue is not of temple and mosque but it is just to get our Ram Janmabhoomi back. “Hindus hold total right in it,” added Jain.

VHP will hold a saint seminar in Haridwar from May 31 to June 2 and educate people about the importance of Ram Mandir. According to Aaj Tak, the VHP will put pressure on the government just like what happened in Tamil Nadu during Jallikattu row. VHP will hold rallies across the state of West Bengal and is all to celebrate Hanuman Jayanti and Ram Navmi to let people know about the importance of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Beginning from April 5 to April 11, the VHP will travel to 1,200 places and educate people on the Ram Mandir.

Jain added that the Archeological Survey of India too was of the view that the masjid was built after demolishing a structure. “Everybody knows it was the Lord Ram temple and thus belongs to the Hindu community,” he said.
