A siege at Muradabad toll plaza by farmers lead by BKU’s Rakesh Tikait as he continues the Kisan stir. He finally leaves the Muradabad toll border and leaves for Gazipur but warns officials that farmers cannot stay at the dharna site near the toll. He is sitting with the farmers protesting a notice recently issued by the administration and not allowing any toll collection on the plaza. He further warns the officials that if the power supplies are cut, then the farmers will ensure that all toll plazas are made free across Uttar Pradesh. As the UP elections are nearing their term, it’s being suspected that another criterion behind the protests could include the associated farm laws revocation in the campaign.
