Munger killing: Locals largely stayed away from voting at the polling centre near victim’s home

Munger: Anger, fear, discontent against the government on Wednesday kept a majority of voters away from the polling booth near the house of the youth who was killed in firing, allegedly by police on a group of devotees, in Munger.

At the polling booth in city’s Townhall, very fewer people turned out to cast their votes as a mark of protest against police brutality on Monday night.

Locals speak about the incident that they witnessed and accuse the local SP Lipi Singh for orchestrating police action on a group of devotees.
