Mumbai: Seven-year-old boy dies after gas cylinder falls on his head

The boy was sleeping near the door when the gas cylinder slipped from the delivery boy's hands and fell on his head resulting in his death instantly.

In a tragic incident, a seven-year-old boy died on the spot after a gas cylinder fell on him in Dharavi. The boy was sleeping near the door when the gas cylinder slipped from the delivery boy's hands and fell on his head resulting in his death instantly.

Identified as Mohammad Bilal Shaikh, the boy was a resident of Dharavi and was studying first standard in a local school.

Bilal's father and delivery boy rushed him to Sion Hospital where doctors declared him dead before admission.

The delivery boy has been identified as Magha Krishnan Nadar, 25.

A neighbour said, "The cylinder directly fell on the head of the boy and he died on the spot. It is very saddening and tragic incident, the boy used to play here itself."

The cops have filed a case against Nadar for negligence.
