Mumbai: Fire breaks out at cylinder godown in Versova; Seven fire engines rushed in for rescue

In a cylinder godown in Mumbai's Versova district, as many as four people sustained injuries after a major fire broke out. According to the Mumbai Fire Brigade team, the incident occurred near the Anjuman school area on Yari road at around 10 am.

Together with police officers, seven fire engines rushed to the scene for rescue operations. It was declared by the fire brigade as a level-2 fire. Dr Niranjan, the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Cooper Hospital, announced that the wounded were identified as Rakesh Kadu, Laxman Kumvat, Manjit Khan and Mukesh Kumvat. "The fire broke out due to cylinder blast," the officials declared on the spot.
