Mumbai: Father To Take HSC Exams, Daughter To Appear For SSC
Secondary School Certificate which commonly known as SSC is one of the crucial exams for many students. And for one girl named Harshali who will soon appear for SSC exams is more special as she is studying along with her father who will also appear for his board exams. Yes, you read it right. The father and daughter duo are all set for their respective board exams. Sunil Tambe, her father will be giving his Higher Secondary Certificate(HSC) board exams which start from today. Sunil, who works with BMC’s water department has taken leave from his office so that he can study for his exams. Reportedly, Tambe cleared his SSC with 63.80 percent in the year 2015. “Since I cleared my SSC with flying colours, all my relatives encouraged me to complete my HSC. I took leave from February 14 for my board examination. My working schedules are in three shifts. Whenever I have got two shifts one after another, I made sure to study during free time. I always keep pocket digests to study along with me. My professors at the night college are very helpful. My wife is not appearing for HSC along with me like last time. If we had both gone to college, who would look after the kids, especially our daughter, who is also preparing for her SSC exams this year, ” Sunil told DNA.
Tambe had done his schooling in regional language and his past work in hospitality business before joining BMC aided him to cope up with commerce studies in English medium. Harshali told DNA: “I feel proud of my father and want him to complete his graduation.” The family broke one of the common stereotypes that we can only study during our childhood.
