Mumbai: BMC to receive 1L vaccine jabs amidst shortage; vaccination drive to kickstart again

It is now being reported that the BMC will be receiving 1Lakh vaccine jabs in order to boost up the vaccination drive in the state. Maharashtra is one of the states which refused to kick start the Vaccine For All drive on May 1st, citing the shortage of vaccine supply in the state. Several vaccination centres also remained shut in the past over the unavailability of vaccines in Mumbai. The vaccine drive for those above 45 years of age will kickstart once again from today. While registration will be mandatory for those receiving their first jabs, the BMC has allowed a walk-in facility for those receiving their second jabs.
