Mumbai airport's closure extended due to cyclone Tauktae. The operations will be shut till 6 PM. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had issued an orange alert for Mumbai, warning of extremely heavy rains and gusty winds at isolated places with strong winds as cyclone Tuaktae is likely to pass close to the city's coast. IMD had predicted that Tauktae is likely to cross the Gujarat coast between Porbandar and Mahuva, between 8 PM and 11 PM.
