A 23-year old boy committed suicide by jumping off the 19th floor of a 5-star hotel in Bandra on Monday evening. The deceased, Arjun Bhardwaj uploaded a video on social networking site giving a tutorial on how to commit suicide.
After shooting the video describing the suicide, Bharadwaj broke the window glass of his suite and jumped to death. He had checked in to the hotel at 3 am on Monday. Police is checking the CCTV footage to find out if someone had visited him during the day.
Bandra police has recorded the statement of Bhardwaj's father, who works as a consultant and was in Mumbai on Monday. In his statement, the man said that he met Bhardwaj about 6 days ago and that his son didn't show any sign of distress. The family is settled in Bangalore but has a flat in Chembur.
