Mukhtar Ansari, a feared gangster turned politician who was recently transferred from Punjab to Uttar Pradesh's Banda jail, is being closely monitored. Times Now was able to obtain visuals of the gangster who was being watched. A convoy of six police vans and a Vajra vehicle had accompanied Ansari in an ambulance for over a 16-hour journey through three states covering a distance of 882 km. On Wednesday, the five-time MLA arrived at Banda jail at 4:30 a.m. and was placed in a common barrack. He also had a COVID-19 test the same day around 8 a.m., and was then transferred to barrack number 15. On the apex court's orders, a panel of four doctors has been established to track Ansari's health.
