MP's COVID-19 tally increases by 922, toll by 10; 848 recover

Bhopal, Nov 17 (PTI) Madhya Pradesh's COVID-19 caseload rose to 1,85,446 after 922 new infections were reported on Tuesday, while 10 fresh deaths pushed the toll to 3,102, a health official said.

He said 848 people were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the state's recovery count to 1,73,284.

While two patients died in Indore, one each succumbed in Bhopal, Khargone, Hoshangabad, Dhar, Rewa, Damoh, Khandwa and Umaria since Monday evening, the official said.

'Of the new cases, Bhopal accounted for 207, Indore 178, Gwalior 55 and Jabalpur 48. Indore's COVID-19 tally rose to 35,861, including 716 deaths.

'Bhopal's count stood at 27,891 with 500 fatalities.

Jabalpur and Gwalior have so far registered 13,429 and 13,403 cases, respectively,' the official said.

Indore has 1,943 active cases, while 1,830 patients are undergoing treatment in Bhopal, and 632 and 674 in Jabalpur and Gwalior, respectively, he said.

The number of COVID-19 tests in MP reached 33,54,884, of which 17,958 were conducted in the last 24 hours, the official said.
