MP records 28 new COVID-19 cases, 2 deaths, 32 recoveries

Bhopal, Jul 7 (PTI) Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday reported 28 fresh coronavirus cases, which pushed its infection tally to 7,90,070, while 32 patients recovered from COVID-19, the state health officials said.

The fatality count rose to 9,019 as two more deaths were reported in the past 24 hours, it said.

A total of 32 patients were discharged from hospitals during the day, taking the count of recoveries in Madhya Pradesh to 7,80,610, the department said.

The number of active cases in the state stands at 441, it said.

Bhopal and Indore reported eight new cases each. With this, the caseload in Indore reached 1,52,897 while the COVID-19 count in Bhopal went up to 1,23,193, the department said.

Of the 52 districts in the state, 41 districts did not record any new case in the last 24 hours, it stated.

With 74,025 new tests, the total number of samples examined for coronavirus in Madhya Pradesh has gone up to 1,26,55,471.
