MP Congress caught napping against BJP's onslaught on social media

The Madhya Pradesh Congress under Kamal Nath is struggling to deflect the ruling BJP's onslaught on social media that has succeeded in spreading the message that a desperate fight is on between the state Congress president and Jyotiraditya Scindia for the post of chief minister.

The Madhya Pradesh Congress under Kamal Nath is struggling to deflect the ruling BJP's onslaught on social media that has succeeded in spreading the message that a desperate fight is on between the state Congress president and Jyotiraditya Scindia for the post of chief minister.

Kamal Nath for next MP chief minister was the first to trend on Twitter. The Congress IT cell of MP claims it had nothing to do with the trend.

The next trend for Scindia as MP CM started after his interview on a national channel.

The Congress IT cell alleges both these trends were started by paid trolls and were directed at creating confusion among online supporters of the Congress and the two leaders.

Before the Congress could react on Twitter the war moved to Facebook where posters for Nath and Scindia as chief minister have been released on two different pages.

The page 'The Madhya Pradesh Yuva Congress Vichar Manch' has released a slogan "Rahul Bhaiya Ka Sandesh, Kamal Nath Sambhalo Pradesh while the page named 'Srimant Scindia fans club' has published, "Desh main chalegi Vikas Ki Andhi, Pradesh main Scindia Kendra main Rahul Gandhi.

Though the Congress is now trying to blame the BJP, the party is baffled by the fact that the first social media assault from the ruling party has exposed the chinks in its online armour.

"It is being feared that many of our social media platforms have been infiltrated by the rival camp and our task is to set it right," a Congress IT cell member said.

On the ground too the BJP backed by strong finances has been the first to take off on the campaign trail.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan has started his Jan Ashirvad Yatra while the Congress has announced to follow his Yatra and promised to expose Chohan's claims. This too could boomerang on Congress aspirations as there is little or no preparation on the ground.
