Not too long ago, Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu and Radhika Apte's film Andhadhun stormed the box office in China and surprised everyone with its phenomenal performance at the ticket windows. And now its Sridevi and Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Mom which is having a smooth sail at the China box office. The crime thriller released on May 10 and immediately struck a chord with the Chinese audience. So much so that it ended up raking in Rs 41.81 crore in the first three days and will enter the coveted Rs 100 crore club by today itself. Talking about the figures, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to the microblogging site Twitter a while back and revealed, "#China... #Mom has slowed down. While Mom has been running successfully in China for three weeks now, Ishaan Katter's highly acclaimed film Beyond the Clouds also arrived in cinema halls in China yesterday. The film, which marked Ishaan's acting debut, was lauded across various film festivals but going by Adarsh's tweet, it seems the film hasn't taken a good opening at the China box office. Coming back to Mom, the film is directed by Ravi Udyawar and also features Akshaye Khanna, Sajal Ali and Adnan Siddiqui in important roles. It released in India in July 2017 and fared well at the Indian box office.
