Modi cabinet Expansion: First time in his second term, PM Modi will be announced his New Cabinet at 6 pm. Forty-three ministers are likely to be sworn in today, in which at least three ministers of state are expected to be promoted. More than 35 leaders are expected to be sworn in as Union Ministers in the Union Cabinet expansion. Before the cabinet expansion Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP President JP Nadda, Sarbananda Sonowal, GK Reddy, Kiren Rijiju, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Parshottam Rupala and Anupriya Patel leave PM house 7, Lok Kalyan Marg, they are expected to be in the new cabinet.
