‘This is like mob lynching’: BJP delegation meets Punjab Guv over assault on MLA by protesting farmers

Ludhiana (Punjab), March 28 (ANI): Punjab BJP chief Ashwani Kumar Sharma reacted on MLA Arun Narang, who was thrashed allegedly by protesting farmers in Malout on March 27. Terming the incident as “mob lynching”, Sharma said that he briefed Governor V.P. Singh Badnore about the incident and the “deteriorating” law and order situation in Punjab. BJP has also demanded dismissal of Captain Amarinder Singh-led government. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Punjab’s Abohar, Arun Narang, was thrashed allegedly by protesting farmers in Malout on March 27. This comes amid widespread protests against the Centre’s new farm laws. An FIR has been registered at Malout Police Station.
