Jaipur (Rajasthan) February 6 (ANI): The first meeting of the State Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) was held under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot at Jaipur. The Chief Minister reviewed the progress of schemes related to MNREGA, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan and National Health Mission. During the meeting Chief Minister Gehlot has given instructions for effective implementation of schemes related to education, health, drinking water and employment in the state. He said that these schemes are important for inclusive development. Every needy person in the village should get benefits of schemes on time. The Chief Minister underlined that the MNREGA scheme has proved to be a boon for connecting the common man with employment. In the challenging phase of COVID, its importance has increased. Rajasthan has always been a pioneer in the implementation of this scheme. The Chief Minister also stressed that strengthening the medical infrastructure at village-Dhani level in the state is on top priority. Model CHCs should be developed under the National Health Mission. Adequate medical equipment and other resources should be made available at health centers so that people do not have to go to cities for treatment.
