A 5-year-old girl died due to thirst in the Jolare district of Rajasthan. Her grandmother went unconscious just beside her due to a lack of water. Due to lockdown, they were taking a different route where water was not available for several hours and this incident took place. The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) chairman Mr Priyank has sent a notice to the Rajasthan government seeking an answer and response from them within 48 hours wanting to know the reason for the incident as this was the violation of Article 21 of the constitution which is that no person shall be deprived of his life or personal liberty except according to the procedures established by the law.
