Minimum temperatures hover above normal in Punjab, Haryana

Chandigarh, Feb 15 (PTI) The minimum temperatures hovered above normal limits in Punjab and Haryana on Monday.

According to the Meteorological Department here, Chandigarh, the common capital of the two states, recorded a low of 9.8 degrees Celsius.

In Punjab, Amritsar recorded a low of 9.6 degrees Celsius while Ludhiana and Patiala recorded minimum temperatures of 10.7 and 11.5 degrees Celsius respectively.

Pathankot (9.9 degrees Celsius), Adampur (10.7 degrees Celsius), Halwara (8.5 degrees Celsius), Bathinda (8.5 degrees Celsius), Gurdaspur (9.2 degrees Celsius) and Faridkot (9.5 degrees Celsius) also recorded above normal minimum temperatures.

Ambala in Haryana recorded a low of 8.1 degrees Celsius while the low at Hisar settled at 8.7 degrees Celsius.

Narnaul (8.5 degrees Celsius), Karnal (9.5 degrees Celsius), Rohtak (10 degrees Celsius), Bhiwani (11.3 degrees Celsius) and Sirsa (10.1 degrees Celsius) also recorded above normal minimums. PTI SUN TDS TDS
