Minimum temperatures hover above normal in Punjab, Haryana

Chandigarh, Feb 16 (PTI) The minimum temperatures hovered above the normal limits in Punjab and Haryana on Tuesday, an official said.

According to the Meteorological department officials here, Chandigarh, the common capital of the two states, recorded a low of 10.3 degrees Celsius.

In Punjab, Amritsar recorded a low of 12 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperatures in Ludhiana and Patiala settled at 10.8 and 8.1 degrees Celsius.

Pathankot (10.2 degrees Celsius), Adampur (12.3 degrees Celsius), Halwara (10.6 degrees Celsius), Bathinda (9.8 degrees Celsius), Gurdaspur (11.3 degrees Celsius) and Faridkot (9.8 degrees Celsius) too recorded above normal minimum temperatures.

Ambala in Haryana recorded a low of 9 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature in Hisar settled at 7.2 degrees Celsius.

Narnaul (8.2 degrees Celsius), Rohtak (11.6 degrees Celsius), Bhiwani (10.5 degrees Celsius) and Sirsa (9.9 degrees Celsius) also recorded above normal minimum temperatures. PTI SUN RHL
