11 Feb 2021: Mercedes-Benz EQS electric sedan found testing, design details revealed
Mercedes-Benz is expected to globally unveil its EQS electric sedan in the first half of 2021.
In the latest development, a partially-camouflaged test mule of the vehicle has been found testing, revealing its key design highlights.
As per the pictures, it shall sport LED headlights with eyebrow-shaped LED DRLs, door-mounted mirrors, and 5-spoke alloy wheels.

Exteriors: Mercedes-Benz EQS: At a glance
The Mercedes-Benz EQS will be based on the company's Electric Vehicle Architecture (EVA) and shall sport a coupe-like sloping roofline, a muscular bonnet, and sleek LED headlights with eyebrow-shaped LED DRLs.
On the sides, it will be flanked by blacked-out B-pillars, door-mounted ORVMs, and designer 5-spoke alloy wheels. The rear section will house wrap-around LED taillights.
Fact: Power and performance
The Mercedes-Benz EQS should draw power from two electric motors and a 100kWh battery pack. The powertrain should have a combined power output of around 469hp/759.2Nm and deliver a WLTP range of 700km on a single charge.
Interiors: A peek inside the cabin
Details pertaining to the interiors of the Mercedes-Benz EQS are currently unavailable. However, it should offer a luxurious cabin featuring a panoramic sunroof, auto climate control, and a multifunctional steering wheel.
It should house the company's all-new MBUX Hyperscreen with support for the latest connectivity facilities.
All standard safety features including multiple airbags, crash sensors, and a rear-view camera should also be available.
Fact: What about the availability?
The pricing and availability details of the Mercedes-Benz EQS sedan will be revealed at the time of unveiling. However, it is expected to carry a starting price-tag of around £80,000 (approximately Rs. 80.6 lakh) and go on sale in the UK in August.
