Medium sugar slips on lower demand

Mumbai, May 3 (PTI) Medium sugar prices slipped at the Vashi wholesale market here today following lower demand from stockists and retailers.

Small sugar ended mixed on alternate bouts of buying and selling.

Medium sugar (M-30) declined by Rs 80/10 per quintal to Rs 3,912/4,092 from Tuesday’s close at Rs 3,992/4,102.

Small sugar (S-30) was quoted at Rs 3,866/3,931 per quintal from yesterday’s close at Rs 3,870/3,922.

Following are today’s closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets: Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,912/4,092 (Rs 3,992/4,102).

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,866/3,931 (Rs 3,870/3,922).
