Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao blamed the media for instilling fear and panic in the public by spreading misinformation and rumors about COVID-19. He said the media should act responsibly and highlight the precautions that should be taken rather than sensationalizing the health issue. He claimed that after contracting the disease, all he needed was paracetamol and medication to heal. On April 19, the Chief Minister tested positive for COVID-19. The Chief Minister, speaking at a public forum in Warangal, claimed that the media is spreading false information regarding Covid, and that individuals can heal by taking paracetamol and antibiotics.
