Voting for over 270 seats began as the Municipal Corporation of Delhi elections kicked off today. The MCD Elections will see over 1.3 crore people exercising their franchise and out of them more than 1.1 lakh are first-time voters. More than 2,500 candidates are in the fray. The civic polls will witness a triangular contest involving three major parties- the AAP, BJP and the Congress. It might be interesting to note that None of the Above (NOTA) option has been made available for the first time in MCD elections.
