Los Angeles, Apr 30 (PTI) “The Big Bang Theory” actors Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch have scored a pay raise of around USD 300,000 in their contracts, ahead of the expected two-season renewal.
According to insiders, the deal will pay Bialik and Rauch USD 500,000 per episode for 48 episodes for the potential two seasons of the show, reported Variety.
The actors, who had been seeking pay parity with show’s original five cast members – Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Kunal Nayyar and Simon Helberg – earlier used to get USD 175,000-200,000 per episode each.
The decision comes in after their fellow stars took USD 100,000-per-episode pay cut from the USD 1 million that each had been earning to facilitate additional money for Bialik and Rauch’s raises.
The deals are believed to include a separate development component for both actors
A representative for Warner Bros Television has declined to comment.
