Mayawati slams Akhilesh Yadav; says SP forced to ally with smaller parties

Mayawati, the leader of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), took a shot at Akhilesh Yadav, the chairman of the Samajwadi Party, stating that his party's working style and anti-Dalit ideology force him to ally with lesser parties in Uttar Pradesh. This announcement from the BSP chief comes a day after Akhilesh Yadav indicated the Samajwadi Party would form up with small political parties a year before Uttar Pradesh's assembly elections. In a series of tweets, BSP chief Mayawati described the Samajwadi Party as "helpless," claiming the party would have to form an alliance with minor parties to contest elections in the state.
