Chandigarh, Sep 24 (PTI) The maximum temperature in most places in Haryana and Punjab hovered above normal limits on Thursday, the MeT department said.
According to Meteorological department, the day temperature in Haryana’s Narnaul settled three notches above normal limits at 38.5 degrees Celsius.
It said Hisar recorded a high of 37.6 degrees Celsius, up two notches against normal, while Ambala's maximum settled at 33.6 degrees Celisus, one degree above normal.
The day temperature in Bhiwani was 37.7 degrees Celsius, the MeT department said.
Chandigarh, the common capital of the two states, recorded a maximum temperature of 33.3 degrees Celsius and received 0.4 mm rainfall, it said.
In Punjab, Amritsar recorded a high of 36.2 degrees Celsius, while Patiala and Ludhiana also recorded above normal maximum temperatures of 35.2 and 35.2 degrees Celsius, respectively. PTI SUN AD
