Actor Mandira Bedi and her director-husband Rraj Kaushal have adopted a four-year-old girl and named her Tara Bedi Kaushal.

Bedi took to Instagram on Sunday and shared a picture of the family, along with their nine-year-old son Vir.

'She has come to us. Like a blessing from above. Our little girl, Tara. Four years and a bit. With eyes that sparkle like stars. Sister to her Vir. Welcoming her home, with open arms and pure love. Grateful, thankful, blessed,' she captioned.

Bedi said their daughter became a part of the family on July 28, this year.

Kaushal also posted the picture on Instagram and wrote 'finally the family is complete'.

The couple got married on February 14, 1999.

Mandira Bedi became a mom for the first time at the age of 39, and gave birth to her son, Vir.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Mandira said, "I gave birth to my son when I was 39, in 2011, as my contracts didn't allow me to get pregnant. I was scared that if I get pregnant, it will be the end of my career. The entertainment business is brutal. I couldn't have done it without the support of my husband, who has made our marriage a success."

The family had been looking to adopt for over two years before Tara stole their hearts away. The Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA) have been helping them with the process.
