Man Creates Homemade Rocket to Prove the Earth Is Flat, Ready to Launch Himself

He is all set for his journey on Saturday in his homemade rocket to prove his claim

Earth is round. Period. But there are few out there who think that the earth is flat. Yes, you read it right. A so-called Flat Earther named Mike Huges is shunning all the years of studies and space travels and experiments and is all set for his journey on Saturday in his homemade rocket to prove his claim. Mike Huges, who is a 61-year-old limo driver, has spent few years in building a home-grown steam-powered rocket in his garage. And his rocket is ready and he is also quite ready for his excursion to take a pic of a disk on which we live on and he took to Facebook to declare it. He is planning to travel for about a mile at a speed of 500 mph and he will soar through the sky above the Mojave Desert.

As per AP report, the self-taught had spent USD 20,000 and he got some sponsorship as well from a group called ‘Research Flat Earth’. “It’s scary as hell, but none of us is getting out of this world alive. I like to do extraordinary things that no one else can do, and no one in the history of mankind has designed, built, and launched himself in his own rocket,” he said to AP. “I don’t believe in science. I know about aerodynamics and fluid dynamics and how things move through the air, about the certain size of rocket nozzles, and thrust. But that’s not science, that’s just a formula. There’s no difference between science and science fiction,” he added.

This is not his first launch. Yes, earlier he had tried launching him in the year 2014. Though he survived his first expedition reportedly he took three days to recover from the G-force effects. As per Mike’s personal website, one can check out all the details live on Internet PPV. If this mission is a success then Mike will go on and make another rocket which will take him to space eventually. What are your views on this? Let us know in comments below.
