West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee demands uniform rates for vaccine

With an increasing number of covid cases and worsening situations in the country, India is now preparing for the next phase of vaccination that is the “vaccine for all”. Bengal's chief minister Mamata Banerjee on the other hand opposes the rate which has been out in the open market. She questions the fact that why there are different rates announced for the states. Already the Congress president Rahul Gandhi has opposed the way how vaccination drive has been rolled out in the country, now Mamata Banerjee questions the rates that have been announced by the central government. Mamata says that she will be addressing a letter to the prime minister over the issue of difference in the rates of the vaccines where the central government will have to pay just Rs 150 for a dose and the state government will have to pay 400 for the same dose. She says it is discrimination and “this is not the time for business” thus demands a uniform rate for all.
