Malabar naval exercise's 2nd phase to begin in Arabian Sea today

The second phase of the high-intensity Malabar naval exercise, including Australia along with India, the US, and Japan is set to begin on 17th November in the Northern Arabian Sea. Indian Navy's Vikramaditya carrier battle group, the Nimitz strike group of the US Navy and several frontline warships from the Australian and Japanese navies will conduct complex and advanced naval exercises for four days in the second phase.

The first phase of the Malabar exercise took place in the Bay of Bengal from November 3rd to 6th that saw navies of four countries performing a number of complex drills including anti-submarine and anti-air warfare operations.
