‘They have majority in Parliament’, quips Himanta Biswa on Congress’ no CAA promise in Assam

Guwahati (Assam), Mar 20 (ANI): Assam Minister and BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma mocked Congress’ for its promise of not implementing CAA in the state if they come to power. "I think they have huge majority in the Parliament and they can decide," quipped Himanta Biswa. On BJP’s plans for upcoming assembly elections, Biswa said, “In the first phase, we are contesting on 47 seats and we hope to win 45-46 seats in this phase.” Targeting Congress, Himanta Biswa said that Rahul Gandhi used to pay only Rs 96 when he was in power while present Govt is paying Rs 218.
