Maharashtra: state govt upset over DGP Gandhi's absence amidst pandemic and Tauktae

According to sources, Shiv Sena, the ruling party in the state of Maharashtra, is miffed with the Director-General of Police (DGP) of Maharashtra Sanjay Pandey. The government is reportedly furious over his absence at a time when in addition to the pandemic, the state is also battling cyclone Tauktae. Mr Pandey is currently on leave and is in his hometown Chandigarh. Whether he had informed the government about his impending absence in advance is not yet known. Times Now's Siddhant confirms that both the Shiv Sena and the Bharatiya Janata Party are asking questions about the DGP's absence during these times of crisis.
