Maharashtra: Religious places to reopen with precautions from 16 Nov

The government of Maharashtra has made a decision amidst the coronavirus pandemic to re-open the religious places in the state from Monday, November 16 with strict precautionary measures to be followed such as wearing the mask for protection from the spread of COVID infection and social distancing to be practiced at all times along with other instructions to be followed as a compulsion while entering the religious temple or mosque.

This comes after the lockdown which was imposed in March that shut down everything including places of worship in order to curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus. This decision has brought some unwelcoming reactions as the state recorded 4,132 new coronavirus cases and reported 127 fatalities in the past couple of days.
