Maharashtra Govt to private hospitals: can't give vaccines, buy directly from manufacturers

Maharashtra government has made a big announcement related to the distribution of vaccines among private hospitals in the state. The state government has denied providing the Covid-19 jabs to the private hospitals and asked to procure it directly from the manufacturers i.e Serum Institute of India and Bharat Biotech. The state government took this step as they are also facing a very high supply deficit in the state. The state government will put an extra burden on private hospitals as the manufacturers have fixed the prices for private hospitals high in comparison to the price they are providing the vaccines to the Centre and state government.
