Maha govt forms panel to probe former top cop Parambir Singh

The Maharashtra government has now set up a three-member committee led by senior IAS officers to hold inquiries against Former Commissioner of Police Param Bir Singh. Parambir Singh was terminated from his duties when the investigation for Sachin Vaze's link in Mansukh Hiren's murder and the Antilia bomb scare case began. This after Acting DGP Sanjay Pandey recused himself from interrogating Param Bir Singh on the charges that have been levelled against him. Parambir Singh also accused Sanjay Pandey of acting as a mediator between himself and the Maha government. Param Bir Singh has also provided phone tapping recordings in the court.
