Maha: 2 dead, 6 injured in cylinder blast in Nashik building

(Eds: Updates toll) Nashik, Apr 3 (PTI) Two persons died and six were injured in a LPG cylinder explosion in a building in Nashik in Maharashtra, police said on Saturday.

The incident occurred in Vadala Naka area at 11:15pm on Friday when a leaking gas cylinder was being replaced in Sanjrinagar building, an official said.

The deaths took place on Saturday evening, he said, adding that the deceased have been identified as Nasreen Sayyad (25) and Saeeda Sharfoodin Sayyad (49).

Five men and one woman are being treated for burn injuries in hospital, he added.

'The condition of four of those hospitalised is serious,' the official said. PTI COR NSK BNM BNM
