Madras High Court pulls up EC & politicians; bans victory procession in Tamil Nadu

Earlier the Madras High Court has pulled up the Election Commission for conducting an election in the crisis of Covid-19 and also labelled the EC as the 'murderer' of people who died of coronavirus infection during the election in the state. Once again the HC has instructed the Election Commission for May 2 and banned the bursting of firecrackers and victory processions in Tamil Nadu by all the political parties. The HC has guided the political parties to keep their workers in control and maintain the Covid protocol on the day of counting. 'Leaders of political parties should keep their file and rank in check and prevent from bursting of crackers," the court said.
