Tamil Nadu: 30-year-old Man Beheads Mother Over Property Dispute, Walks Into Police Station With ‘Severed Head’ to Surrender

A 30-year-old man allegedly beheaded his mother on Sunday and walked into a police station with the 'severed head'.

Bhopal, Feb 23: A Class 11 girl was beheaded outside the gates of her school in Anuppur allegedly by a stalker. The incident happened in Kotma village on Thursday around 1 PM.

The victim, identified as Pooja Panika, reached school for biology practical around 12.30 PM. She was about to enter the school when a man ran up to her her and attacked from behind. She died on the spot.

None of the students witnessed the gruesome murder as all were inside the school building. However, a teacher is said to be a lone eyewitness in the case.

As per a report in The Times of India, the attacker hacked her neck thrice with a sword, severing it. The killer left the murder weapon behind before fleeing away from the spot.

The police reached the spot after being informed by the gruesome crime by the school authorities. The officials have taken the body and the sword into custody. Meanwhile, a probe to nab the accused has been launched.
