Former AIADMK general secretary VK Sasikala has sought a 15-day parole to attend her husband's last rites who died earlier today aged 75 in Chennai.
Sasikala was jailed last February after being convicted in a disproportionate assets case and is currently lodged in Bengaluru's Parappanna Agrahara Jail serving a four-year imprisonment.
Natarajan was brought to the Gleneagles Global hospital on Sunday with a severe chest infection. The chief operating officer said he was on ventilator support, and in critical condition.
The news agency ANI quoted the hospital as saying he died of multiple organ failure.
