In a sensational transfer move, former Liverpool superstar Luis Suarez has agreed to join the Reds back 3 years after he left for Barcelona.
The Uruguayan left Anfield in 2014 in a £75million deal to join Barcelona.
Suarez’s eighty-one goals from 110 League matches in three and a half seasons at Ajax was a rate that few strikers in world football could match.
Liverpool signed the Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez from Dutch club Ajax on a five-and-a-half year deal worth about £22.7 million in January 2011.
Suarez scored a sensational 40 league goals for Barca in La Liga last season, notching a scarcely believable 59 goals in all competitions.
Suarez scored a total of 82 goals in 133 appearances for Liverpool, registering 31 goals from 33 games during the club’s 2013-14 agonisingly unsuccessful title bid.
Suarez has scored more than 100 goals for Barcelona since signing for them.
Two days before the World Cup Final in Rio 2014, Liverpool agreed to a transfer fee with Spanish giants Barcelona for £65million. He ended a memorable season at the Nou Camp by scoring in the 3-1 win over Juventus in the Champions League final.
Although Barcelona couldn’t retain the Champions League trophy in 2015-16 it was still a sensational season for
Suarez, who scored 40 goals in 35 games in the league and 8 from 9 in Europe.
Well, Reds fans must have relished at the prospect of him signing back for Liverpool but that isn’t happening for the time being.
