Locals pay no heed to ‘janata curfew’ in parts of Karnataka

Hubli (Karnataka)/ Mangaluru (Karnataka), May 01 (ANI): Due to exponential increase in COVID cases, ‘janata curfew’ had been imposed in Karnataka. However, people in Hubli seen to pay no heed to the curfew. They were in market at large number with no fear of coronavirus. Although, the officials were seen making announcements for locals to follow the COVID SOPs. Similarly, a jam packed road was seen in Mangaluru, indicating that people are not following the curfew norms. On April 30, Karnataka reported highest-single day spike of 48,296 cases, while 217 fatalities.
