We’ll ensure both your safety and convenience: Delhi airport CEO on resumption of flights

New Delhi, May 23 (ANI): The preparations are underway for operation of flights in Delhi amid coronavirus lockdown 4.0. IGI Airport is all set for resumption of domestic air travel from May 25. The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has issued a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to airport operators for recommencement of domestic flights from May 25 onwards. The government of India imposed a nationwide lockdown due to coronavirus two months back. According to Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), all flights will be operating from Terminal 3. While speaking to ANI, the CEO of Delhi International Airport Private Limited, Videh Jaipuriar said, “We have actually started to live with coronavirus. You (passengers) should not be worried but you should be careful for maintaining sanitization, minimum contact.” “We will make sure that you are safe and will still look after your convenience.” he added. There are 12,319 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Delhi. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of COVID-19 active cases are 69,597 and 3720 deaths in India.
