This Live Chat With ‘Sarabhai’ Cast Reveals Secrets About Season 2

‘Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai’ family gets candid about its seven year jump.

As we wait for Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai’s big comeback on Hotstar this year, the show’s cast took some time out from their hectic shoot schedule, to tell us a bit more about the changes we can expect in the brand new season. In a candid Facebook live chat, the show’s producer JD Majethia is seen snooping around the new set, and then he takes us straight to the stars, who reveal these BIG changes in the much awaited season 2.

1. Sarabhai Vs Sarabhi is coming back as a web series on Hotstar.

2. Rosesh (Rajesh Kumar) will be a ‘cupboard’ this time, whatever that means!

3. Sahil (Sumeet Raghavn) and Indravardhan’s (Satish Shah) characters are naughtier than ever before.

3. After the 7 year leap, Monisha (Rupali Ganguly) and Sahil now have a little son named Guddu. According to the show’s director, Guddu is the most interesting character of the new season, because he’s a mix of Maya, Indravardhan, Sahil, Monisha and Rosesh!

4. Rosesh reveals that after seven years, the show has become seven times more entertaining. We can’t wait!

5. The Sarabhai family now lives in a fancy penthouse.

6. Actor Deven Bhojani, who plays Dushyant the techie, is also directing the series this season.

7. The one thing that hasn’t changed is that Satish Shah is still the teddy bear on set.

8. Rosesh is still unmarried and Indravardhan is desperate to find him a bride in season 2.

9. Producer and writer Aatish Kapadia will play ‘kachha kela’. While we’ll have to wait and watch what that means, but it sounds quirky enough to be in Sarabhai season 2.

10. Rosesh is no longer the only poet in the house. Apparently other family members also join in every now and then.

11. Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai season 2 will initially have a weekly release on Hotstar, but will become a daily soon after.

Here’s a piece of trivia that’ll get all Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai fans brimming with joy. The show is apparently listed in the top 50 shows in the world. Satish Shah confirms that it is ranked at number 27 and was even higher than Friends, the hugely popular American sitcom, for a few years.

As the cast bid farewell from the sets, Rosesh leaves us with his latest poem, enjoy!

Aaya aaya Sarabhai family, phirse machane dhum. Sabki dhadkane karengi dhum dhum patt patt dhum. Puraane namoono ke saath naye bhi honge sirf Hotstar par. Together they will fill the house aur house dikhega cute cute, golu golu, jaise momma ka brocade blouse.
